Default Auxiliary reverse lights

Just a quick question. I already have my 55w work lights mounted on my cab guard. I want to run a wire from my reverse lights to my work lights. So as to not overload the wiring for the stock reverse lights, I'll use a relay, but.....When I throw the switch in the cab for my work lights, the relay will not be triggered, so I shouldn't back feed into the wiring harness and cause any issues, correct? Next question, if I should accidentally throw the truck in reverse with the work light switch on in the cab, it will feed directly back to the battery. Will this cause any issues? Cause damage to the reverse switch?

Just so you know unit505 that diagram is for an 09 f150 not our old ones. you might not be able to wire it to work with the dome light unless you want the reverse lights turning on with the door opening.

Nope...didn't catch the year. Thank you. I wouldn't want the aux lights or reverse lights to work with the dome lights. I don't even like my dome light working when I'm at the deer lease. Lol

I did just have a really good idea though, well, maybe an evil thought. Use that 12v remote control I posted and wire it to my reverse lights. Then make a trip to Wal-Mart, find a parking space right up in front of the store, go stand in front of the store and turn on my reverse lights and enjoy the traffic jam! Lol
