Default Automatic to manual trans

Alright guys, I've searched the forum and couldn't find much on this. I have a 1994 f150 with the 4.9l 2wd with the e4od. I am considering swapping a manual transmission into my truck. What all will this entail? I know I will have to get a clutch pedal assembly, but is there a cut out already under my vinyl floor for the shifter? Or will I have to cut my own hole?. Was there only one manual tranny offered in our trucks? Or several, if several which one would be the best? Will I have to get a new computer? Or will my current one work good with a different transmission? To install the new clutch assembly will there be any cutting/welding involved? Or is it plug and play?

I'm hoping y'all can guide me in the right direction, thanks guys.

More info on the truck, not sure if it's all needed but just in case;

1994 F150
Regular cab long bed
4.9l 2wd
Automatic, 3.08 gears
E4OD

Best bet is to find a donor truck that is a regular cab long bed 4.9L 2WD with manual transmission and get everything you need. The list is long. Transmission and shifter, starter, clutch assembly and pedal, driveshaft, steering column, computer, etc.

Pretty sure the only manual transmission that came with the 4.9 in 94 was the M5OD.

See that's why I come here first lol. I hadn't even thought about the drive shaft and steering column. I think you are right I need to start looking for a donor truck.

Really it gets complicated. There's even more on the list (wiring harness, crossmember, and it goes on).
If you do go after a donor truck, you also want to try and get the same year or you run into a few other things...
