aod transmission problems

The E4OD has electronic shift controls. The AOD wasn't until it was upgraded to the AODE which shifts with electronic solenoids controled by the ECM

thats what i thought, basically the aod and e4od are the same just e40d is electric. correct?

The AOD and the AODE are the same except for the electronic shifting.
The C6 was replaced by the E4OD which was modified to include a fourth forward speed and electronic shift controls, replacing the hydraulic control mechanism of the C6.
