Default AOD Trans

Hello all! I have a 88 with a 302 and a AOD trans. The Trans has a real soft/slow shift into 2nd. Does anyone here now how to adjust the Intermitant band, my Hayns books says nothing for the AOD trand, just the c4, c5, c6.

Thanks!

been doing some looking on the net, and im thinking that a shift kit may help enough, but I may need to get a better valve body to correct the weak 1-2 shifts but also help the trans hold up.

Is it a non electronic aod? If it is a non electronic aod, try to reset the cable on the throttle body.

The proper adjustment is critical to these transes, if not adjusted properly they will burn up.

Look at both, and you could figure it out.
