There was a mention of a spare tire and one of fuel tanks removal for a car lifting in some tread here. So i have another question in my unique style I know exactly where the fuel tanks are placed, but where a spare is supposed to be? As far as i know my spare roots somewhere to the north of the city for a few years, so i hope i'll get a new one pretty soon (i've lost any hope to find that one), the question is where am i supposed to place it? I'm afraid that if i shall repeat the way of a previous truck owner and put it into the trunk, a new spare will also repeat the way of an old one and they will lay there together forever in peace until some bear would tear them apart...

the truck is '93 F150.

 

The spare belongs under the rear of the truck, pressed up against the rear fuel tank, just in front of the rear bumper. There should be a bracket which the tire is placed on and a screw which you turn to raise and lower it. If you lost your spare and didn't hear the bracket scraping the road then the bracket may be gone. If you have trouble finding a spare some Dodge trucks also have the same wheel bolt pattern.

 

Thank you, Sean! I haven't lost a spare yet - i just didn't have any. It was lost by a previous owner. The bracked was lost or removed (or both) even before he lost a spare.. I was told about how he lost it several times (it's a blood-cooling story) and he didn't mention a bracket or a spare stock place... i guess i'll have to find something for tire repairing until i get a new spare and a new bracket.

 

You can probably make any truck bracket work. All the ones I have seen look very similiar. Just make sure it's from a full size truck so it will fit a full size spare. Too bad you are so far away, I have 5 spares.
