Default Another project....

So about a year ago I acquired a 94 f350 crew cab long box 4x4 with a 460 and e4od,
After going over the truck I found that one cylinder is weak and the frame has some rust issues that to be honest is dangerous and not worth fixing.

So here's my plan,
My current work truck, a 91 f250 reg cab with a rebuilt 5.8 and e4od is a great truck with just some cab rust issues.

I'm going to remove the entire body from the 91 and put the 94 f350 crew cab on the 91 f250 frame and drivetrain and build a short 5 foot flat bed for my welder.

The only issues I can see is the computer in the crew cab will have to be swapped for a 92 and up 351 computer and the engine harness on my 91 351 will have to be swapped for the harness from a 92 and up 351.

I also have a 92 f150 with a 351 / e4od for these parts I'll need.

Now besides the custom mounts I'll have to build to put the 94 crew cab on my 91 f250 reg cab long box frame, is there anything else I'm missing?
I don't want to put my work truck out of commission for longer then it needs to be because I didn't do my home work! Lol

Thanks in advance guys!

This will give you an idea of what I'm trying to do.
Except I'll be doing a flat bed instead of shortening a box.

Hey look at me , look at meee.

I looked at the crew cab on a regular cab frame before I wrecked old blue (my avatar truck) it looked to me like the frame kick up would hit the rear seat can floor, without a body lift.

Yep! I have been on here since 2009 and will do whatever I want! Lol jk
But seriously, what happened to all the knowledgable guys we use to have around here?

Ya I plan on a 3" body lift when I drop the cab on for that reason. Im also going to run 35s so that will help stuff them under.

Thanks for the reply my fellow Canadian!

if your making the flatbed all you really need is a body lift. with your computer issue, why cant you just put the 91 wiring into the 94 cab?

Because I want the 92-97 front clip and interior.
But as long as I use the computer from the 92 5.8 parts truck and it's engine harness I should be good...right? Lol

I think it would be sick! That extra space to keep tools out of the weather would be great, and you would still be able to keep the maneuverability of the f150.

Ya the biggest thing with my work truck is not having any cab space with the reg cab.

If it wasn't a work truck the reg cab would be fine but with 2 welding helmets, a second set of carharts and gloves and boots you can barely see the passenger seat or floor! Lol
