Do a manual transfer case with basic no light setup or anything and no need to worry about computer stuff. I mean who really needs a light to know they are in 4wd. How hard is it to look at the shifter.

OBDII is alot easier to find out whats wrong with the vehicle (IMO) it allows you to see what every sensor is telling the ECU and all there different imputs can be shown in real time, there is more to it but thats the highlighted stuff.

OBDI is easy, OBDII tells you more and monitors more. I'm not as practiced in OBDII.

I was wanting a manual hub and shift, but not sure if I should go stock or solid front axle. It was suggested a solid front with 4:56 gears and 33's.

4.56 gears, damn are you trying to pull a tank? 4.10s tops, thats even overkill but its always nice if u decide to get 35s down the road. a solid axle (if you can do it) is well worth it.

Won't need 35's. I don't plan on making an outrageous off road machine. It will basically be a street drivable, zombie bug out truck with occasional off roading for camping. If any one out there that has done this before please pm me if you don't mind helping me out. Thank you
