Would you still use an oil stabilizer with RP? I am switching to RP and if it's not needed I'll skip the Lucas Oil Oil Stabilizer. Your Thoughts?

(I'd rather this thread not becomea Dino vs. Synthetic thread. Additives only please.)
I'm going to test it's ability to remain on non-submerged hot metal surfaces with & w/o it. Then see what it does when exposed to near freezing temps., on that surface. M1 and most Synthetics will bead off w/o the stabilizer. Good for thermal transfer, not so good for cold start protection. Yes indeed, lets not go dino/synth! Besides, that thread is due for a resurrection anyway. Anybody else's knee hurt?

I just used this stuff called engine restore, in my truck on my last oil change, besides giving the oil a slight green tinge, my engine idles smoother, and seems more powerful, I will have to see what it did to my mpgs

MOA - motor oil additive. We sell it at the garage I work for. It's hard to find in retail stores, they really only sell direct to garages. They came out and did a demo for us and whatever customers happened to be there. Since Lucas is the most popular in the retail world, they ran MOA against Lucas...MOA won by far. The guy ran the engine for 10 minutes, dropped the pan and kept running the engine. Then he went and got a snack, had a beer, hit on some girls, etc...came back, no noise, no rough running. Its magic!

I've used STP fuel system cleaner, the stuff that's gold in the clear bottle. It's the only stuff that I can notice a difference when it's in there. I used Marvel Mystery Oil in my '72 LeMans when a valve started sticking. I wasn't sure if the heads had the hardened guides or not so I didn't know what I should do. The valve hasn't stuck since.
