abs

Default abs

my abs has been messed up i changed out the rear abs sensor in the differential but that didnt fix it what else could it be

Get it scanned and find out. Its hard to say without knowing what code came up.

i want it fixed and i dont have a computer that can read my truck do you anything i can check to see if its messed up or something

Did you get air in the system at any time? You may have to bleed the ABS controller. Mine is on the frame below the master cylinder. Also make sure the electrical connections are good on it. Could also be a bad wire. Make sure the rear brakes are working, if they aren't sometimes it sets off the ABS light.

well i check it out but i know the abs is messed up because if i barely hit the brake a little hard i lock up and skid

You can also check the electrical connections at the RABS module. It's located in the cab to the right of the brake pedal under the upper dash panel for RABS I, or directly behind the glove box for RABS II. Since the light is on, I'm guessing the RABS module is working, so I would think the controller is bad. You can probably get one at the junkyard relatively cheap and see if that fixes the problem.
