i've got underdrive pulleys on my truck and yes with your headlights on when your idleing you can watch your lights dim and your charge gauge drop but those pulleys have been on there for 3 years and my truck still has the stock alternator, i do alot of idleing down the trails at night and have never had a problem with it, i think the underdrive pulleys are my favorite power mod i've done especially with an open exhaust once you hit about 2000rpms it feels like your hittin nitrous

The supper 44 sound pretty good, it not to loud, but i have the 2 1/4 pipe. thx guys next thing im going to get is the underdrive pullys. should i use the alternator one or not??

I say YES. Unless you want to buy a new belt, the kit only works with the stock belt if you use all three.

Underdrive pullys. Any Idea why they are seldom if ever discussed? Are there any downsides to these? there seem to be a crap load of different ones(pages in summit's cataloge) What are 25% underpullys? I'm interested for 302's.

No downside but, do read the posts in this thread for more detail.
Crap load, yes. They are all basically the same, different manufacturers, finishes, combinations (2 or 3 pulleys, etc).
25% underdrive - i.e. your accessories spin 25% slower.
