Default 92 f150 headlight problem!!!!!!!!

when i turn my headlights on and its on dim my hi beam indicater light is on and when i turn my hi beams on they are dimmer then the dim lights and the hi beam indicater is still on.ive changed the dimmer switch,new headlight switch,new headlights and ive checked fuses in the truck and under the hood and ive even untaped the entire wiring harness and i havent found anything thing wrong..............PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a bad ground. Start with the headlight or switch ground.

well i thought that too but would a bad ground keep my hi beam indicater light on when my hi beams aint on?

Yes it will. A bad ground will cause all kinds of screwy things to happen.

i took every panel out of my truck and traced down all ground wires and inspected all other wires and i still come up with nothing...its driving me crazy i dunno what im missing or looking over

There's main grounds under the dash, and main light grounds for the lights but I don't know how many or where. Exactly what you describe happened to my LeMans and I added a ground from the battery to the body and it all stopped. If that doesn't work I would try tapping into the light ground and adding another ground to the body.

well i tried another ground the to the headlights and i got nothing,i pulled the instrument panel,head light switch and dimmer switch and checks the plugs on them and still nothing....im ready to burn the truck to the ground

I would test the power to the headlights. Unplug one headlight and turn them on. One wire is ground, one is low beam power and one is high beam power. Make sure when the low is on that there is no power to the high wire, and vice versa. Check each plug with the other headlight plugged in because maybe the headlight bulb or socket is shorted.
