I dont think its the bulbs dimmer switch (i just replaced it) or the wires in the front. They seem to be ok.

I pulled the switch out and the connector was melted as you said. I need to fix it tommorow, trying to do timing on a jap MR2 and it wont let us get the motor mount back on. IDK why it wont. just giving us a hard time, thats whats keeping me from my project.

I broke off some of the melted plastic and wrapped some of the wires in electrical tape. It was a Red wire with a yellow stripe. I am assuming this is the main power.

Black with an orange stripe and tan with a white stripe have power always, and supply the switch with power. Brown is power to the parking lights. Red with a yellow stripe is power to the dimmer switch, which then gives power to the headlights.

I rode around all night with the brights on. Its officially fixed, and if it starts acting up again I know exactly where to look. THANKS GUYS!
