You mean you have to floor it to get over 60? As in the engine can't pull it it it's revving way to high?

You need bigger tires. I did a lot of testing with mine, 3.55s and 3.23s. The 235/75/15s work well with the 3.23s but I figured I needed 33s for the 3.55s.

Hmm, well I'm running 31x10.5 in the rear and 235/75R15 in the front. And yes I can go as fast as the engine will allow which isn't far over 70 mph SCREAMING. I don't want to swap another rear... And yes Farmer12 it's basically maxing out once you get near 60-65. I'm not sure what gears I have in the D44 I got out of the 88 donor but I hope they're 3:54's.

Problem is, this is sort of a budget build and I don't have $600+ laying around for that kind of tire setup. I'm already running 31's I got a set for the front now. But I want to rebuild this front axle and install new radius arms because I had to cut the old ones to remove the axle.

I have recently just learned that as long as it's a 5 speed, 4x4 it will work. Does anybody have one laying around?
