Just got my front end assembly from pick your part's half off sale today. Axle rotor to rotor, springs, control arms and sway bar from a 96 Bronco. Gong to the pressure washer Monday. A fresh coat of bedliner on the housing and it will wait for the next round of cash. New bearings, seals and u-joints will go in along with some 4.10 gears. I got screwed on the price because no one understands what a Ford IFS is. Instead of the $128 drum to drum axle price they charged me for an axle , 2 I beams, 2 rotors ( we don't include disk breaks on the axle sir, only drums ) 2 calipers, a sway bar and because I didn't have the socket to remove the coils I don't need, 2 coil springs. But after dragging that beast out by hand because that had no floor jack or hoist available today, I paid the $300. Anyone want some good 4x4 Bronco springs?

Sounds like fun, are you gonna go through the axle and freshen it up? While I had it out of the truck I'd want to pull that carrier out to inspect it and drill a drain hole in the bottom of the housing for easy fluid change down the road.
Hey! Finally someone who's doing the swap to! Ive got a front end off of a 86 bronco and I'm planning in order the rebuild kit from Jeff's bronco graveyard hopefully it'll work out well. What are you planning as far as transfer case and transmission?
I plan to rebuild and re-gear the whole front end as well as new bushing. It's going to take a while. I think I'm going to search some pre pulled parts junk yards for a trans and transfer case. I haven't had any luck finding an AOD trans and I don't want to switch to the electronic or manual trans. I might even send the cash for a rebuild. My other choice is to find a transfer case and rebuild my trans when I take my transmissions class next semester.
