Default 4.9l headers

if i have to get my valves redone i might get some exhaust headers. does any1 know where i can get some cheap ones. ive looked on summit racing. if i get some do i have to get a highflow cat.? or can i get some that will bolt up to the stock flanges?

good luck finding a header for the 90 series 4.9L 300 I6....I found ones for older engines but nothing for the later....

I would LOVE to have a header on mine...better fuel efficiency

even a nice aluminum head would be SWEET....but yet nothing...

yeah i know what you mean. i thought it would be cheaper to get a new head instead of getting valves redone. but nothing out their. i was looking at that 6=8 a while ago but could seem to find one for my truck.

you will gain from both...everytime I have removed the cat from an I6-300 it ran alot better...the header will only add power...wont hurt a thing

why would you lose torque....less back pressure? wrong...back pressure is a bad thing...

anything over 3 psi is deemed too much even for cats...you have to remember if there is pressure in the out pipe that mean the air going in has to over come that pressure and that takes away from the power...

so have someone explain to you how it would affect torque...less air in means less power...IE: back pressure...

lower back pressure or Zero back pressure mean freer flowing air in...mean more power...get what I mean?
