Does it overheat? or just warm up a little bit?

Adjustable thermostat on E fan? trigger temp to high. If not, it sound's like E-Fan is too low a capacity. Although guessing from your other list of fixes, you might be fighting a coolant restriction in the Radiator &/or block!

check it with a gauge....

I did all that to mine and it works fine....

I have a 160 degree thermostat with an adjustable fan switch...I have the probe mounted on the heater core line just under teh 2-wire temp switch off the thermostat housing....

I have the switch set to kick on when radiator temp hits 168 degrees and off at 160 degrees...this puts the engine at kicking the fan on at 170 degrees and off at 162 degrees...

My temp gauge reads just over the bracket when the fan kicks on and right on the bracket when it kicks off...going down the road it is just under the bracket...

Help any?

Either the fan doesn't move enough air or you need to make a shroud for it so it pulls air through the whole radiator. If there is no shroud then the fan only cools the circle that it sits behind.

thats fine... i would say flush the radiator...the 300-6 doesnt need much in the way of cooling capacity...so if it is getting hot...you aint got enough...even in a warm day my fan doesnt run much

my fan is an 16inch OEM fan for a Caravan or something like that...I cant remember what I took it off of...

my truck was overheating a while back and when i flushed my radiator, i had to hold my water hose in the fill cap and crank it full blast cause there was sludgy crap blocking up the bottom of the radiator. after i got that out and filled it back up, (60% water 40% coolant, water cools better) it ran fine. Also make sure you have enough coolant in there. Sometimes after air bubbles work their way out the level drops and you might be running low.

Suggest to ensure the fan is moving plenty of air - and that the air is being pulled through the core.

Another thought is that the water pump tolerances are sloppy, resulting in low flow at low RPM.
