When you upgrade your Ignition system, you can gap your plugs wider for a larger spark kernel .054 or .056 instead of .044(stock)http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...ht=timing+bump

Read the link I posted! Bump the Base timing to 13.5 BTDC (w/ SPOUT plug out). What voltage coil? 48k? I'd start w/ .054, and if you detect a miss, come back .002 at a time. Brass cap & rotor, right? This will eat stock C/R's for lunch. You will be a happy camper! I prefer Motorcraft Copper Cores. They're safer if you should start to lean out. A K&N drop in filter is adviseable (if you keep them clean). If your not MAF, that's all you need. The plugs run very clean unless you exceed the gap limit of your system. When your where you think everything's dialed in, I like to disconnect the battery for at least 5 mins. to clear and rebuild the KAM (Kept Adaptive Memory) w/ truck at norm. op. temp.. After reconnecting,#1. start the engine and let idle for 2 mins. #2. shut off for 1 min. #3. restart, w/foot on brake & in drive, let idle for 2 mins. #4.shut off for 1 min. #5. Go for a drive, thru all gears. This is not manditory, but works very well for me.

I do currently have stock MAF system in the truck.
