your 90 5.8 had 210 hp your new 92 5.0 has 185 hp stock. first id sea foam the engine and it should get a little more pick up and go. but to hit 400 hp your guna have to spend a good amount on it. new cams exhaust ecu tuners. or turbos and chargers if you got some cash burning a hole in your pocket about a year ago i was guna try getting mine 96 302 to 300 hp but found out that it required more money and work then i felt like putting into it. 230 is good enough for me though.

300 hp should be good for our trucks some get up and go when you need it and not to horrific when you stop for gas
