How stupid is it of me to haul 2500 lbs in my '93 F150 4x4? It's only about double what the truck is rated to haul
It has enough power and stops pretty good, but I'm concerned that I may break something, what do you folks think?
Thanks

I think you answered your own question. Also if you were to get in an accident and hurt or kill someone they may try to contribute it to you being way overloaded and in that case you may be screwed my friend. Not saying it will happen but could.

great way to crack a leaf spring, ive carried 1400 in my shortbed and it pulled fine but handling and stopping were rough. I wouldn't recommend it unless its a very short distance.

If it doesn't touch the bumpstops it's good.

I've had her down on the bumpstops before hauling approx 3,000lbs of dirt and block. She drove fine and had no trouble stopping.

I've got 31x10.50x15 LT tires and I pumped them up to 50psi. They worked great under the load they were given. I don't haul 3,000lbs on any kind of regular basis, just that one time.
