Cool 1994 to 1995 Engine swap

I have a 1995 F150 5.0L 4X4 with 4R70W tranny and have recently purchased a 1994 5.8L 4X4 with E4OD tranny for parts. The 94 was a salvage title since new and was donated to a local trade school. They recently decided to get rid of this truck and I luckily happened to get my hands on it. It only has about 15000 miles on the ticker and the engine seems to have never had a bolt turned on it. My plan is to swap the 5.8 into my 95. The questions I need answered are as follows:

The 5.0 has MAF and the 5.8 does not. How much trouble is this swap going to be? Is it as simple as the harness and computer?

I don't want to swap transmissions. Can I use the 4R70W behind the 5.8? Or do I have to swap trannies also?

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Use the MAF, it's better. Drop in the 5.8, it'll work. No need to change the harness or the tranny, it will bolt up.

Thumbs up

Thanks. I appreciate the response. Upon doing more research I found out what you told me. Can't believe it is going to be this easy.
Any idea about reprogramming the PCM? I am thinking about headers, cold air intake and possibly a mild cam upgrade.
I am hoping for better fuel economy and more power.

The MAF is adaptive, but I'm no expert on it.
