Tire question
Im throwing some meaner tires on my truck for the snowy moths.
Just wondering if im asking for trouble using LT tires in the back
and P tires on the front. Im leaning away from the idea, but am open to opinions. I have 2 nice lts and 2 mean looking p tires.
I know I don’t want to mix p and lt on the same ale though.
Thanks a million.
ps its a 1990 f150 4x4

Ideally, would like to have the same tire all the way around on a 4x4, if for nothing else, looks.
But, I don't see any problems with what you're describing. Just have to be sure all tires are the same height, especially when operating in 4WD on those patches of clear pavement.

Id rather have good tread all the way around than have all 4 lts.
At the moment I have the 2 good lts on the front and the 2 not so good lts on the back.
Ones on the back have tread but the one side of the tire is worn down like they where on a truck with bad ball joints.
One thing though this is the first time ive ever had LTs on this truck,
I must say I sure like the feel of lts apposed to the p tires.
Makes it feel more truck like
