We shall count the moments, or something to that effect!

So my shipment came in today (only 3 days from summit, cross border which is pretty good if I may say so myself) I picked up a new 02 sensor from NAPA, turns out it is heated and the o2 sensor I got off jegs was the wrong one. Anyway, hooked up the new sensor as well as the extension harness cleared the KAM and took it for a drive. I still have the check engine light coming on, intermittently.

Only comes on while cruising, changing the cruising speed doesn't change anything. Under acceleration it turns off, as well as when cruising to a stop.

I have headman headers with a 3 inch exhaust, back to a high flow single inlet muffler. No cat. I put the joint from the drivers side directly into the passenger side, with a right angle.I figured I wouldn't have any worries about to much backpressure, I purposely made the right angle joint thinking about that I might not have enough backpressure.

I'm thinking that I may have an exhaust leak somewhere around the 02 sensor bung. I have a piece of 1.5" that is around 6" long and joins the two tubes in front of the right angle.

The other thought is that there is not enough pressure in the exhaust, and the o2 sensor isn't picking up enough gas so it thinks it's running lean, then when I step on it the pressure builds and the computer figures it out. I don't know how far off this assumption is, or if it even makes sense.

Tomorrow I'm going to check out all the welds, grind them all down and fix any holes i might find. Heres hoping.

EGR has been cleaned, along with the EVP. IAC has been cleaned as well. The thermactor stuff along with the smog pump has all been stripped. This was done a few months ago with no ill effects. I had no codes, aside from the EVP, before the exhaust was put on.

Yea, but where is it hooked up? Is there a spot on the headers for it?

EGR never connected to the manifolds. Bolted into the intake manifold and the intake plenum. I searched for this and the 5.8 had it running to the manifolds, not sure about the 4.9.

What was the EVP code#?
Modified air intake?
Possible, that if no exhaust leaks are found, that you've exceeded the MAP's ability to compensate for additional air flow. Out of fuel trim range at cruise.

Everything is stock on the engine aside from headers and exhaust. So if I am flowing to much, the best course of action would be to put a smaller muffler tip on? I have a 3" 45* elbow on there right now, if I moved down to a 2.5" think it would make a difference?

The EVP was :
334 DPFE or EVP circuit above the closed limit of 0.67 volts.

The code was stored, not KOEO or KOER.
