A few pics from behind the scenes.

Like I said, a lot of trimming needed to be done.

The springy thingy. The screws are counter sunk into the plastic and a piece of Velcro was used to keep the screen centered left/right, and also to keep the ipad from falling out when the bezel is removed.

Not the prettiest but, the screen is perfectly centered and flush up against the cubby hole cutout, it is also very secure in place, and you cant see any of it when everything is put back together. That's all that matters.

I made this hole for three reasons. One being I can unplug the ipad from the media hub to charge it from the cigarette lighter , also to reset the usb connection because the sync system can be temperamental at times. Three, I can now access the plug(without pulling everything apart) going to the back of the control bezel(FCIM), unplug it, pull the connector out and plug it into the original panel incase I need to pair a device, set the clock/EQ...

A couple more daytime shots. I plan on having some of the interior pieces hydro dipped including the the center bezel.

So what would happen to a backup camera? I guess that wouldn't work for a factory backup camera?

Guessing also since I have that crappy mt ford touch I'm really screwed if I wanna iPad install.
