Default 2006 S-Crew 4x4 rear bump stops

Out of the gate, im going to say that i searched and couldn't find an answer, so either I'm using the wrong terminology or I'm just OCD about my truck.

I feel like I have too little clearance between my rear bump stops and the "ear" of the oem spring spacer. Does this look to you all like my springs have settled, or did the previous owner jack up the stops for some reason. I don't have another stock f150 to compare this to so I'm flying blind here.

Not spectacular but showing low bump stop clearance. DS Rear.

is it time to get new springs? Maybe someone else can take a photo of their oem setup for comparison.

thanks,
Andy

speed bumps are an issue. I also need new shocks, which amplifies the lack of travel.

This is my 08 Super Crew with the H9 Axle with limited slip.

I don't think the bump stop you have is factory. My truck is pretty stock and has much smaller bump stops.

mine is a 08 super crew with a h9 axle code- limited slip 3.73.

Someone might have had a lift on your truck and put that bump stop...

What a difference! It was either lifted once, or they towed heavy things a lot and used a longer stop as a poor man's air bag. I think I'll search for some OEM replacements tonight. In the mean time a little trimming of these current ones is in order.

Load handling kit from Timbren, they guarantee their kit will not compromise unloaded ride quality
