Since I had the Dreaded Cat code for the threshold deal I opted to order a set for both sides of pre made/assembled cats for my 2004 fx4 with 250K on it. Any who I was looking to get new sensors. Ford shows two different types for up stream and down stream. I bought new ones for the old cats about 4 years ago that were bosch and the had the one that was 15717 i believe that was down stream and another for the upstream. okay so i go to purchase and now bosch is showing 17874 for both up stream and down stream applications is that new?

The ford codes are 9f472 and 9g444.

 

Figured someone would know.

 

I show all four sensors being the same for the 3v… It's possible you looked up a heritage with the 2v motor?

FWIW, it probably won't matter for the ECM. The difference might be something like harness length.

The bosch correct sensors are15717(down stream) and 15664(Upstream) They are two different sensors. Using all four of the same will cause a code to be thrown.
