Thinking of ditching the white letter tires for some all terrain BSW tires
Here is my '18... I'm fine with the stock suspension and tire size, but am on the fence with the OWL tires. I'm thinking of swapping them to a more aggressive AT tire like Falken AT3W, Toyo Open Country AT2... Thoughts?
Oh and these wheels still look far better than the 2018 20' PVD wheel..
KO2s are undisputable, that's for sure. Duratrac also, but they are heavy tires.
I had a set of LT duratracs on my Tacoma : They were great, but I did not like how they handled during winter and how noisy they got after 10k miles.
Do you want P-rated or LT tires? After 2 months of shopping, I ended up getting a set of WildPeak A/T3Ws for my 2017 F150. They come with a 55k miles wear warranty, look very nice and aggressive and are severe winter rated. From what I've read, they are not noisy at all and offer great performance on all terrains. I'm supposed to get them this week - I will let you know how I like them.
I just took my brand new 17 KR ( 140 miles ) to Discount tire to swap out the factory white letter good years. Looked hard at the BF KO2's but they are expensive. Discount allowed 80 dollars each for trade in. Decided to put Cooper Discoverer ATP in 275-60-20 in Blackwalls. Much better look in my opinion. Just as quiet as the factory tires. For comparison, the bfg's were quoted at 1150 otd and the Coopers were 650. That's with the Discount warranty, etc included
Having had both KO2's and Duratracs, my vote goes to the Duratracs. I know in the 16" version, they have a LRC. In the size you want, I can't say, but if it's an option, and if you don't need/want an LRE, they'd be worth it. IMO, they are much better in snow than the KO2's, and in general, the only things other than appearance, the KO2's were slightly quieter than the Duratracs. Both seem to wear pretty well.
If I was modding my '17 to be a psuedo offroad truck, the Goodyears would be my first choice. They are heavy, but no matter what brand/tire you choose, there's going to be a trade off.
Oh, blackwall out, always.

First off, that's a Gorgeous truck. Secondly, maybe I am oldschool, but I MUCH prefer OWL tires, it just adds so much the appearance of vehicles, and the "chop" as the wheels and tires turn.
As far as the 2018 20" PVD wheels go, I think they look great, but I do agree the older ones that you have look even better.
