Man O' Man! After a few weeks of reading this ginormous thread, I finally got to the end! (OK, I did skim a few pages that weren't really helpful, lol). I must say that it's very cool to see how things have progressed from the beginning until now. Lots of questions of uncertainty that were answered, things that a dealer said could not be done, were actually done and after all this, no major cattasporhies to report. I've been sold for a while now and have been waiting for Livnitup to get back with me on a new 8 inch cluster. It will be a Canadian converted to a U.S. gauge. Not worried at all, as I know the swap/conversion has been successfully completed multiple times. After many messages back and forth, I can say Livnitup is a stand up guy. Thank you for all the answered questions my friend!

P.S. After at least x10 years, I have made it back to the homeland! LOL. I was a member way way back in the day with my 04' Lariat Supercrew. Wish I still had that log in. Anyhow, Good to be back!

Two questions:
- Are the gauge faces glued to the cluster or just in place with locating pins and pressure to hold them down? (ie, Any concerns of them lifting over time or needing to be reglued?)

- Feel like taking a stab at blacking out the Km/H lettering for a cleaner look?

I'm pretty sure this mod is going to be done in the very near future!

The gauge faces are not glued to the cluster and are just in place with the locating pins and there's a center tab on the gauge face that inserts into the housing. I only have the film affixed to the back of the gauge face with scotch tape and feel like that will continue to hold (like pictures in a scrapbook lol).

Ok, here it is done quick & dirty with black electric tape on the back. You can still make out the km/h markings because of the white markings silk screened on the front but it dims it quite a bit. Note: they appear moreso than the pics because I have to mess with camera settings to try to come close to what the blue looks like (it's deeper and darker than the blue looks in the pics).
