Coming up on 10,000 miles now on the STX. Son made fun of my engine choice until he drove it. We now use it for everything. Still fun to drive. 20.8(corrected) MPG since new. Lie-O-Meter shows 20.3. My Longhorn 6.7D Mega tonner now is large trailer toter only. 2.7 w 3.55, 4x4, plays with 6000 pounds behind it.

I came out of a 2012 157" Lariat with the 3.55. 5.0 Coyote. When I traded it at 100,000 miles trip 2 showed 19.2.
I traded in January for a 2016 157" Lariat with the 2.7 and the 3.31. Currently showing just over 22mpg with it.
After 1 year of ownership I'm a little over 7000 miles of mostly city driving and the best MPGs I ever got was around 18-19ish....This past March I did a level and went to 34's rated E tires and I'm down to 15-16 MPGs of mostly city driving....Still love my truck regardless of MPGs.....
I have a 2016 2.7crew and get 22 mixed and just got 12.8 towing a 6800 trailer and 980 additional on the truck for 800 miles. Including the CA grapevine and up to Yosemite and back.
My 23 mpg drops to about 11 pulling light loaded trailer at high speed. Got my new 2.7 emblems now, so folks can see the big horse pulling around them. My 5.4 Expy was never this snappy,,,loaded or empty.
I only have 1700 miles on my 2.7l so not fully broken in. I went out of town this past weekend 350 miles 175 in each direction. I averaged 22 on the way there and 21 on the way back highway driving 99% of the time.
City driving I have been getting 17-18 on an unbroken in motor and that is heavy stop and go traffic. I feel city MPG's are getting better now that its starting to break in.
