I've got the xlt with center console but the gear shifter is on the column. Giving me a storage tray on the driver side and the cup holders on the passenger side. Anybody know if you can swap locations of the setup or even possibly add an additional set of upholders for where the tray is? I would rather have them on the driver side in closer reach.

No you can't, they are mirror images of each other, not duplicates. The angled parts will be wrong if you try and swap them.

I agree that it's an interesting setup. Seems a cup holder on each side would have made more sense. Also curious about the thin strip down the middle and the "hidden" storage under the left insert.
Regardless, I love the amount of space provided by the center counsel.
Probably not - the storage tray on the left is a molded piece that the cup holder on the right is bolted to Also due to the shape of the molded piece I don't think you would be able to turn it around to reverse sides
I clicked this hoping to see that there was a solution to the shallow 2015-2016 cup holders. Getting tired of holding smaller drinks and water bottles while I drive.
An other cool mod would be to change the upper console trim and cup holders to one from a 2017 f350. The upper lid slides to transfer it to 4 cups, or a larger storage area
