be careful wiring it up, as whell as the brake cable, some of the newer pioneers have a gyroscope in them that does not allow you to watch a movie while driving, a simple toggle switch will suffice if your wanting to do that

google is your friend, you can also call pioneer, ford etc...you shouldnt be 100% dependent on a forum to help you with all your stuff, you think we had this site to fall back on for our installs?

can you use the single wire for the backup lights in the tail light? just a thought, since you are running wires into the cab, maybe you could short cut it just a wee bit.

I too am looking for the same wire. Go figure, Google lead me here.

I can go poke around for 20 minutes with a tester and risk poking something that I shouldn't, or use my brain and ask on an F150 forum where the collective knowledge may already have the proper answer.

Any half-wit would know that "Ford" at any level from Corporate to Dealer service counter is not going to provide the answer to an end user installing an aftermarket head unit. Pioneer is not going to be able to answer specific questions regarding wire colors or locations in vehicles.

FWIW: I ran an old-school custom stereo install shop long before cell phones and internet forums. I build my own audio amplifiers, microcontroller based projects and audiophile class speaker systems. None of that helps me easily determine WHAT is the best or easiest to tap into. Also, I am mostly self taught and likely have forgotton more than you will ever know. You don't find me smugly telling people to "go figure it out on your own".

simplest in youre case would be, if it has the electrochromatic mirror,, there is a dg/y wire going up the left hand a pillar that you could tap into or pin 3 at the parking aid module same color. The module is located up to the left of the pedals where the a pillar meets the firewall.. think those are prob the easiest access points

Doing a bit more research I found this:

Pin 20 is the mute signal that is activated by the backup sensors.

Pin 6 is listed as "not" used but my 2008 F150 has a Dark Green wire with a yellow stripe. When the truck is put in reverse, this wire registers 12v
