That's pretty nice. I have an off road h pipe and long tubes and can't keep the check engine light off for long. I never thought of using something like this. Did you try these yet on your car? What size did you use?

 

I have not tried this yet soon though as I will be getting the car out for the summer. I'll let ya know, I can tell you it does run on the rich side.......STINKY!

 

I have used these on many of my own cars and some of my buddies car. I always used the autozone junk ones. The rust to crap in no time. The next time I put one in I will use the one I posted before. As for the size to use in the tuneable one go small.

 

I just wanted to let everyone know this worked for me on my 2005 f150 5.4L 3v. I did notice that you would have to drill the fowler larger if you are using the OEM o2 sensors. I used Standard Brand Part SG459 for my O2 sensors and the 1/2" hole worked fine.

 

Does this work on the front 02 sensors aswell?

 

The problem i had with this mod is after adding the spark plug Fowlers it made
my 02 sensor too long and it hit the bottom of my cab, anyone else run into this
problem?

 

It will work on any vehicle. I did it to a Mazda 3 we used to have. The rear sensor does not effect air/fuel, only the first sensor. The second one in the cat or after the cat is to tell the computer if the cat is working properly. All it does is sense that the cat is doing its job right. A clogged cat does not, so the sensor should pick up on that. I had 2 jeeps that the cats got clogged so I cut them off and did nothing with the o2. Had a code all the time but didnt effect anything at all.

All the antifouler does is keep the sensor clean, hot, and out of the unburnt exhaust. This way you dont get a code.

 

I have posted about this before. I have a 2003 f250 with the 5.4. I got the truck in 2007 used, when I bought the truck it had a blown out y pipe. I took it too Midas and got a true dual front to back exhaust done. Brand new shorty ceramic headers, into 2 and 3/4 inch pipe into magnaflow mufflers out the back end. I noticed a gain in power off the line and in low torque when pulling a car trailer I have. I kept very good records on kilometers to a tank and I'm averaging about 450 to 500. Which is where I was at before. I think using the smaller exhaust pipe kept my back pressure in pretty good line. Put 43000 clicks on since and it's been fantastic. My neighbor had about 8 fords and I've had 6 and in just about every ford I've ever heard of has had a cracked y pipe from the back pressure fords are so famous for. Got to let those big fords breath. :-D

 

Should note I've never has the check engine light on ever cats don't seem to do anything on foes trucks

 

I've done this on my 98 cobra and IT WORKS JUST FINE !! > my car ran very strong and I spray nitrous and have never had a problem. and I do plan to do this to my 04 screw.
