Default Speaker size

1997 F150 extended cab with the premium audio (6CD player in drivers side rear door)
Before I rip the front door panel off, I'd like to find the size of the front door speakers as 1 has given up the ghost
Any info appreciated
Some say 5"x7" and some say 6"x8"

This forum is for posting "How To" do electrical jobs on pre-'97 F-150s.

Most replacement speakers have slots which work for both sizes. You can check Crutchfield which is the best source of information out there on car audio.
