just purchased a 1996 f150 regular cab. when opening the passenger door the dome light comes on and goes off when the door is closed. when opening the drivers door the light does not come on. tha dome light does come on with the headlight switch turned all the way left also. i assume it is the pin switch in the drivers door. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks

 

found the problem. unscrewed the door pin switch and the wiring wasn't connected. put it together and now it works fine.
