Default 1991 f150 4.9l 5speed 2wd trans swap. 91'-95'

Might sound confusing and this may be simple, but I could use some help on it. I have swapped my 91' f150, with the 4.9l 300 and a 5 speed mazda trans to a 95' same case, ratio and bolt pattern. The only difference is the speedometer on the 95' f150 is supposedly on the rear end, and the 91' is on the tail on the transmission case. Would i have to swap the rear end out or would I be able to find an aftermarket speedo that hooks in to the harness, or use some GPS speedo/tach that I'm unaware of? It all works out but I'm driving blind with an app on my phone for a speedo and its not always convenient. Any advice would be appreciated!

I think you opened up a can of worms. Even if swapped rear ends it would not operate the speedometer in the dash of your 1991 truck. It sounds like you already have the '95 transmission installed.

I don't know what the best solution would be other than finding a Mazda transmission from a 1988 to 1991 truck. Hopefully someone else will have a better answer for you.
