Well, I would go with all Motorcraft parts to start with. I am assuming because it is a 5.4 that it is a V8, so you plugs in the front will be really easy to get to, but as you work your way to the back of the engine you will definitely need patience. The gap default should be .044mm, however I think I have seen some as high as .054mm. (check owners manual for details.) I would do at least the plugs and wires. But you could also do the ignition coil, and the distributer cap too. I would use Motorcraft Platinum plugs, they should be about $2.50 each. And the Motorcraft wires at 7mm. though I have 8mm wires in mine. If you need specifics just ask.
