Default Part Identification

Hello, chaps,

I need help identifying a broken part to replace it. It looks like some sort of vacuum to me. Thanks in advance!

Well the white thing is a vacuum line. It goes to a vacuum solenoid that operates one of the heat doors. You'll want that fixed right away I suppose. would just a new vacuum line from the parts store fix things, or is the vacuum solenoid buggered ? I suppose you'll have to hook the vacuum back up to it and see if it works.

The part itself is no joy. I need to replace it. I'm trying to look for the part but I can't find it. Would that be called the EGR Vacuum Solenoid?

No. EGR is on the motor.
I think that one operates the blend door (warm cool air blending).

Ah, yes, I've found it. What sort of vacuum line do I need to use?

This thread is dead, but for those that come later...you can use a length of windshield water hose here. It will fit over the valve nib and vacuum line. Take a piece of the white vacuum hose with you to check fit when you go to the parts store. The thicker rubber hose is cheap and can handle the vacuum easily, plus it's easier than trying to replace the fancy white tubing which is brittle and hard.
