Default Front Bumper ideas

Hey guys can you throw some ideas my way on what to do with this front bumper to make it look better. I want to paint it so what kind of prep work would I need to start with?

Lots of sanding, start with a heavy grit and work you're way up depending on the finish you want, then a few good coats of primer and whatever color or type of coating you want.

Bed liner is very durable and looks good, or plastidip.

if you use plasti dip, no sanding is required. just clean off the bumper, spray it on, and run it. If you ever decide you don't like it, just peel it off.

Does plasti dip come in different colors or should I go with black to match the grill?

While people are talking about bumper painting, I have some holes im going to be repairing on my front bumper and will be painting it afterwards. What color do you guys think would look good on a black truck with black grill? I also will be painting the trim around the headlights.

it comes in white, black, grey, and a ton of other primary colors you probably wouldn't want to use aha. Id recommend just going with black or grey. check out the website dipyourcar.com if you want to see all the colors, but they might not have the cheapest prices so look around online before you commit to buying it from somewhere!

I just did mine and I wouldn't recommend using a low number grit just so you don't put any major scratches I started with like a 180 then just went up and for paint I just bought a half gallon of rustoleum put a little thinner in loaded the gun I got from harbor freight for 10 bucks and

Oh and all the sanding took me maybe an hour

I can't really tell from the picture because I'm on a phone but if that's chrome I'd start with a rough grit.
I've painted a chrome push bar, wire wheeled it then 230 grit then painted with rocker guard and it didn't stick real great. Then I did chrome wheels but I sand blasted them and the paint stayed on fine.
