I tried all kinds of number combinations and it was a no go.. Does it not work any longer?

Yeah I put my card number in there and it doesn't work.

I am confused about your question. Recently, I used an ASP.NET QR Code barcode generator library to create barcode for my web. So others can be lead to my web through the link. Here is the barcode creation guide. I am not sure if this would be helpful.
