Default Windshield Wipers Not Working

Hello,

I have a 1987 I6 300 F150. The kid I bought the truck from said the windshield wiper motor needed to be replaced in order for the wipers to work. I don't fully trust him, though.

Are there a series of tests I can run to troubleshoot the problem and see if there is another culprit part? I don't want to buy a wiper motor only to find out the problem is with something else.

Thanks

Wiper control module. Open it and resolder the bad connections.

My wipers are not working either. Guy I bought it from said they worked but turns out they don't. I can hear the motor activate but it doesn't move. It just sounds like the wipers are frozen to the window and not allowing motor to move. Any ideas?

Don't highjack threads? And have you tried turning them on then messing with the wipers by hand to see if it does anything?
