I had thought of new motor just to save time on repair. Motor is good. Passenger window goes down good but moves up jerking at 1/8 inch increments and will not make it all the way up.

Good luck Frank. BTW you really dont have to take off the door handle. The door panel slid forward over the handle on the second motor swap. Kinda tuff local for the screw that holds the handle on.

With a jerky window movement you may actually have issues with the regulator or the track in the door.

I just tried cleaning the switch contact from another thread on here
No improvement

I'm assuming that everything that can go bad is sold w/the window track complete assembly ?

IE the motor & regulator are on there ?
I can here a noise when I press the switch, so as far as I can tell it is trying to control the window
I really hate buying a whole new assembly, but I need the drivers side window back

If the motor is running but not moving the window your white triangle inside the motor is probably shot. Motor is very easy to pull to verify this, will only take 20 minutes and a 1/2" drill bit if your dimples aren't already drilled out, drill the three dimples, use a socket/extension and unbolt motor after taping it up or propping up the regulator, there will be a couple screws on the motor, then pry the casing apart and see if everything is intact. If the motor will spin the drive gear while not attached to the regulator it is just weak and needs replaced. Take this time to manually move the window up/down, if there are no hard spots then just stick with the new motor, if you are having a lot of trouble moving it try cleaning/lubing everything up before replacing regulator or track.

The window will go down....but not up it seems
I think that makes sense as the weight of the window will let it lower ?
When I press up Nada......it was moving up in the past w/assistance
Nothing now
Supposed to warm up this afternoon to maybe 50, maybe I can take a look

My driver and passenger side did the same thing Dave. A new motor in both fixed it all. I was thinking my reg and tracks were screwd but it was weak motors in both. Nothing like windows that work as they should................took maybe an hour for both minus the time to get parts. Be sure to tape the window up well. O yeah dont remove the door handles - panel will slide over them.

I took the window out last time..... PIA
Did not even think I could get the track in unless I did
I've been looking for my receipt for the assembly I bought ....no luck
Of course its the one receipt that's not in my folder
One last place to look, then I just buy another
This time I'll make sure I put the receipt in my Truck folder
