Default Tachometer

Have replaced the ignition control module and the coil. What else can affect the tachometer from reading the correct rpm's

Did you just install the tach cluster ? They're pretty close to year specific - 92 & 93 : 94 & 95 : 96.
Or check for a good connection at your coil.
Or you could have a bad tach.

This is the original tach in the truck from 92. Will check connection at coil, how can i check to see if my tach is bad.
