Default Right blinker doesnt work??!

Driving home tonight go to turn the right blinker on and nothing. I didnt really check any fuses or anything what could it be? Also when I push the high beam switch toward the steering wheel to flick the high beams on and off the headlights shut compeletly off? Thanks

Sounds like the switch may need to be replaced, every once in a while mine will not turn a blinker on (happened both directions) but will always turn on when cancelled and re-selected.

No, just replace the multifunction lever and your good to go. I think new ones run like $35 for off brand to $100 for motorcraft on rockauto. Or you could pull one from a low mileage 92-96 at a junkyard or pullapart place. Personally I would just go with Dorman($50), when I get around to replacing mine that's what I'm going with, not the best brand out there but good enough for this and it should last the rest of the life of my truck.

How would I go about changing that? If I try the 4-ways and it comes on I guess that would pretty much tell me it's the switch?

actually four ways and blinkers use different relay, one side working and the other not tells you that the switch isn't making contact when pushed in one direction.
