Default 02 sensor question

Hi all. Quick question, because the people at advanced auto got me confused. 95 f150 302 auto. I'm replacing the 02 sensors, both look exectly the same on the truck. I go to buy 2 and they give me the downstream and upstream. I know one is before the cat and one is after. Well both my 02 sensors are before the cats, I replaced the driver side but the new one for the passesnger side had a longer wire than the one in, so I am hesitant if they gave me the wrong part?

The reason that the new one had a longer lead is most likely because it can be used in multiple vehicles. If it only needs a 4 inch lead on one car but needs an 8 inch lead on another they'll just make them all 8 inch leads to make the manufacturing process easier.

If you are still suspect then try looking up the o2 sensors for your truck on multiple websites and see.if the one they gave you is listed as applicable.

The downstream one is wrong, you don't have that. You should have two identical sensors.
