You can add a zip tie behind the bar bell to keep it more taut. However it might lol so use another to hold it in place.

Do this.......a stack of cut washers, the cut on every other one turned 180* til the slack is out. The some quick set epoxy on the washer edges. Once set, your set...........until the cable end pops off. Just have to be gentle. The center hole of the washers have to be smaller than the cable end. Or at least the top washer has to be smaller. You can also make a new end (temporary) with a steel split shot fishing weight. Slide the cable through the cut in the washers to get them on the cable.

I only operate voice, so I'll be adding a 6m antenna and probably replacing the 2m with a dual band 2/70. I had my cb in the truck, but there's literally nobody on there around here anymore so I took it out. I was doing allot of DX on 10m 'til the Ranger took a dump. I look forward to getting back on 10m with the new to me rig tomorrow. Let me know when you get your ticket and your call. Good luck. You'll pass it I'm sure.

I've got a magnum S-9 that I picked up at a lard sale, so I'll definitely be on the 10m. Also, what antennas are you running for 10m? I know firestik has a 10m version, and I was thinking about doing that and a 4' 11m firestik, with a coax switch, as the s-9 does cb as well.

10m MFJ Hamstick. Half fiberglass, half steel whip. The whip slides into the fiberglass and will tune 10 & 11m (CB for those who don't know). One antenna, both bands. Get your SWR's flat at 11m and you should be around 1.5swr for 10m. $15 and no switch!

Oh, your that guy! I love your interior. My truck already has power seats, mirrors, windows, locks, tilt, cruise, ect. I'm wanting to do an explorer overhead console, the deluxe visors, lighted window and lock switches, the excursion steering wheel, and lighted rear view mirror. Also eventually sound deadening the truck. But before I do all that I'm doing a 4.10 gear swap, some 31s, and a level with helpers in the rear and a bigger transmission cooler. So the interior will be put on hold.

I might have to think about this for my grill. Have to be careful. This is technically illegal here. No red or blue lights facing forward.

I think that would look cool at the top of the transmission tunnel.
