I'm not sure about IP rating on the rope or strip lights. Research time.

Strip LED's - IP65 on some, the ones I posted are IP68 which is suppose to submersible for long periods, however the seller says "can't be completely submerged under water for long time", I'm surprised they are rated at all off of ebay. With IP68, makes me wonder if the seller is just giving an IP rating for sales?

the first number in the raiting is for dirt and dust 1 being bad 6 being dust and dirt proof
the second number is for water 1 being indoor use not water proof at all and 8 being submerssable up to 10 meters. my lights are ip67 which is fine for up to 1 metere so i can go fordging thru a river with them but now take them on a diving mission LOL

I doubt they would do that they would go out of buseness quick the Ip raiting is done by RHOS my light bars are holding up fine under frezzing temps up to heavy rain and shock.

I was never one for submarining my vehicles. My atv is capable of going completely under with the snorkels, but I added them as a safety factor. Then I took it swimming and realized that even with my 250lbs. on board, she'll float. So that leaves one outcome, if the snorkels go under, I'm upside down and applying for a spot on the soon to be produced "Red Neck Gold Miners" (it will surely happen at some point, Lol) as I vacuum the good stuff out of the bayou mud!

In all reality, my current truck needs to be capable of treading 3ft of water for 1.1 miles. That's exactly how deep and how far it is from my driveway to high ground when the bayou floods a couple of times a year. When I did my warm air intake, that raised the air filter just high enough that I don't get water in the intake. So far, my Harbor freight off road lights have handled a couple of trips a day through the flood waters. My original led fog lights did not! I did have to change the transmission fluid and rear gear oil after the waters recede. I added a new rear diff vent line and ran it up behind the driver's side tail light. Solved that one issue.

Yeah it takes more then a snorkel to waterproof a car. My buddy found out the hard way being all bad *** with his jeep going right into the river me freaking out because I know how deep it is, he went all the way up half past the windows water looting in and his engine **** out electrical system going crazy including the door locks, after swimming to shore watching his jeep tumble over in the water. I got my truck pulled his jeep out slow messing up a lot on his jeep getting it up right with the help of 2 other trucks.

I only go as deep as my hub caps no more then that after that accedent..

Though I'd post a quick vid to show you a few of the modes of those strip lights. The first are the red, green, blue solid on and those colors can change by hundreds of variations. The rest are just scrolling though some of the different modes. Theyr're all dimmable too in case they're too bright.

I'm planning on bed lights but bright white. I live in a dark area and it's good for hunts/camping.

So what would you all put here to pull the cable out some? To make it open in less travel.
