I pulled door handle and it broke today.
I would like to replace it with a metal one. Original is plastic. If I go to the junkyard, will I find one to fit my 1996 Eddie Bauer? I know I can go look, but what I'm asking if they made them in metal for 1992-1996 or other year that will fit my 1996.
Also, I'd like an opinion on which running boards that won't be too much trouble to install. I'm short and have to grab steering wheel to get in...because there is no grab handle inside the poor pillar? Will I find steel to mount one behind the plastic pillar cover and how hard is it to install one?
Also, does anyone know which color wire in the power window switch controls the passenger window? Mine doesn't work with the driver switch but works with the passenger switch? Anyone have an idea of what wires controls this or where it is? I am assuming within the harness of the rubber boot inside the driver door?
I am a woman with mechanical knowledge but don't know much about this truck. I have the Ford repair manual from Haynes...no wiring diagram.
