Default Instrument Cluster interchangeability

I have an 89 F150 with the non tach cluster
I also have a same generation f150 with a tach dash and trip meter.
Now, on my other ride, an isuzu, it was just a matter of swapping clusters because everything was already wired for it, is the ford the same beast? TY

Pretty sure '87-'91 will swap with no problems. It's the '92-'96 that have differences between certain years.

From what I gather, the wires are all ready there, just plug in the new cluster and you're golden.
