Default How to remove and replace vent handle

This may have been discussed before but I could not find anything using the forum search. Can someone please let me know the procedure for removing and replacing the vent window handle on my 1996 F-150. Thanks!

pretty easy really. I have removed mine a couple of times. All you need is a small hammer and a small pin punch( a small diameter nail with the tip dulled will work) Open the window and work from the outside. You will see a small pin in the handle. Place the pin punch on the pin and lightly tap out with the hammer. Be sure to catch it and the other parts. Goes back in the same way.

By the way why are you wanting to replace it? Faded? If so a couple coats of spray paint will fix it right up. Didn't notice your user name until after the first post. Just wanted to say War Eagle!!!!

Thanks for your help 92-96 F150! And yes, my truck is red (Toreador red) in color. ROLL TIDE ROLL! Don't tell anyone thus but I got my MBA at Auburn while I was working as an export manager at Russell Athletic.

92-96 F150. Yes, I am wanting to paint mine cause they are rather faded looking. I have not decided n a color yet. I wonder if anyone makes chrome replacements that would never need painting again. I guess that's a Google search for another day. Thanks for your help though.
