Default How do I remove this light switch?

Trying to take the dash off so I can put a toggle switch in the dummy to the right of my dash. How do you take this off? Is it from the back of the dash? Don't wanna break anything. I seem to break engine electrical connections cause they are old and brittle like me.

Pull out the switch. There is a little hole you can stick a small screwdriver in to release the handle.

You should probably disconnect the battery

I saw that little hole. I tried sticking a small dental pick in there. Is the "handle" on the shaft or on the ****?

So sticking a small screwdriver or whatever I have, am I pushing down on something or pulling up on something?

There is a metal tab inside the hole that depresses that releases the head. So press in, pull off.

I used a small drill bit for that before, any thing about as the size of a toothpick'll do ya good. no worries, I had to google this cause I was about to break it too. look down in there with a flashlight you should be able to see the tab. then just push it and pull the switch. itll pop out

Thanks that was it! I used a hook tool (like a dental tool) and it was sort of like pulling it and pushing it down a little bit. Made a lot more sense when I was able to see it inside.
