Fairly new to the site. Got my first truck and it's been a restoration project with my step dad. The cab forward is a 90 F150 which had an 8 foot bed. From the cab back is a 92 flare side that had a 6 foot bed. The bed is sitting lower than the cab and we found out its due to the missing running boards. Anybody know where I can find em'? (Factory of course)

 

Usually you buy another bed that isn't missing them, because nobody will separate them from a good bed and they're impossible to find.

 

Here we call those running boards "Salt catchers". That rust on the corner of you're fender will get way worse if they salt the roads where you are. I see plenty of trucks on a daily basis with cabs, doors and floors rotted away from them.

You might just need a body mount bushing to even that out.

 

Oh, now I can see the bed has them. You're talking about the truck side. Just as hard to find though. Junkyards, better luck with online ones.
